IB Diploma

IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches.

Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at HL and SL. Tutors with current and former IB examining experience. Internal Assessment support included.

What we teach

The IB Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) syllabus, in full.

Algebra, functions, calculus.

The mathematical core: algebraic manipulation, function behaviour, differential and integral calculus. HL extension content for students aiming at university maths, physics, or engineering.

Statistics and probability.

Probability distributions, hypothesis testing, statistical inference. The conceptual depth IB requires, not just the formulae.

Geometry and trigonometry.

Vectors at SL and HL, complex numbers at HL, trigonometric identities and applications. Strong synoptic content.

Internal Assessment.

Topic choice, methodology, drafting, and the marking-criteria alignment that turns a Mathematical Exploration into a 7. Multiple-draft review cycle included.

What to expect

How lessons run.

Weekly 1:1 sessions in our online classroom. The HL and SL streams diverge meaningfully, and we map the term against the school's own calendar so lessons stay in step. Internal Assessment supervision runs alongside content lessons for students in IB Year 1.
